Official AZ (officialaz.com) is a free local business board for Arizona. It’s operated by Global Media Inc, 2700 S Gilbert Rd, Ste 5 #199, Chandler, AZ 85286 (“we” or “us”). Questions about this policy go to gen@officialaz.com.

The short version

• We only collect what we need to review and show listings and to run member accounts.
• Your email address is never shown on the site.
• We don’t sell your information.
• We share it with SearchMonster or MonsterList only if you tick a box asking us to.
• We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
• Email gen@officialaz.com to have your listing or account deleted. We handle it within 30 days.

What member sign-up collects

Listings you send while signed in are linked to your account so you can see them in one place.

Official AZ and SearchMonster

Official AZ and SearchMonster.org are run by the same team. We share your information with SearchMonster only if you opt in by ticking one of these boxes on the listing form:

• “Also list my business free on SearchMonster.org.” We use your listing details to create a free listing there.
• “Send me tips and offers from SearchMonster.” We use your name and email to send you tips and offers. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.

Both boxes start unticked. If you leave them unticked, your information stays with Official AZ.

MonsterList.org

MonsterList.org is our sister directory, with free and paid marketing tools. We share your information with MonsterList only if you tick “Also list my business free on MonsterList.org” on the listing form or in your account. If you do, we share your listing details (business name, category, city, description, phone, website, logo, Google Maps link, and any deal, event, or job) so your business can be listed there. The box starts unticked, and you can change your mind any time in your account’s preferences or by emailing gen@officialaz.com.

Emails

• We email you about your listing or account, such as when your listing goes live or when you ask to reset your password.
• We may also email you offers. Every offer email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep people signed in:

• oaz_member: keeps members signed in. It’s removed when you sign out or close your browser, and expires after 8 hours without activity.
• oaz_admin: used only by our own staff to sign in to the site’s review area.

We don’t use advertising cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so loading a page doesn’t contact other companies. If you click a business’s website or social link, that site has its own privacy practices.

Who else handles your information

We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information. Apart from SearchMonster and MonsterList (only if you tick their boxes, as described above), it’s stored by our web hosting provider, which also delivers our emails, only so the site can run. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its visitors from fraud or abuse.

How long we keep it

We keep your listing and account information while your listing or account is active, or until you ask us to delete it. Spam-prevention records are cleared out regularly. Password reset codes stop working after 1 hour.

Deleting your information

To remove your listing, delete your account, or have us delete your information, email gen@officialaz.com from the email address you used with us, and tell us which listing or account it is. We’ll handle your request within 30 days and confirm by email. You can also ask us to correct your information, or to stop sending offers, the same way.

Children

Official AZ is for businesses run by adults. It isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Keeping it safe

We store passwords only in scrambled form, limit repeated sign-in attempts, and keep our database and settings out of public reach. No website is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll email you first.
